| Originally the Pantera
was a joint venture between Ford and DeTomaso Automobili of Italy.
DeTomaso designed, engineered and built the car at Ghia coachworks and
the DeTomaso plant in Modena. Ford supplied development and production.
After Ford pulled out of the project in 1974, DeTomaso continued to
build the car in small numbers for the European market. |
